Verse of the Day

WELCOME HOME!!!

"In all of us there is a hunger, marrow-deep, to know our heritage - to know who we are and where we came from.  Without this enriching knowledge, there is a hollow yearning.  No matter what our attainments in life, there is still a vacuum, an emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness." -- Roots, by Alex Haley.

It's no accident that you have come to this site.  Something or someone has led you here.  For our part, we are very excited to know you and your family on a personal level. So feel free to navigate through the pages of this site and, while you're at it, please don't forget to share some information about yourself and your family.  We will greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for dropping by!

Our best regards...

ROOTS

Have you ever wondered or ever asked your grand-parents who were their parents or grandparents? Or would you have ever cared at all to know?

If we put ourselves on the shoes of our old folks, how would we feel if we will come to know that our  "apo's" or  great-grandchildren don't give a damn who their great-grandparents were or don't even care to know?

Here in this website, we'll try to dig deeper into our roots. This is our chance to know our ancestors beyond the grandparents whom we know of. If we don't do this now, we might forever lose this opportunity, and our children after us will never know who were the people whom God has chosen as instruments so that they (our children) can be  brought into this world.

Are you with me? Good! Now let's get you started...

Click on Our Pedigree and start getting close and personal with your ancestors now!

Tracing one's ancestry and looking for his ancestors is a serious business.  But who said there are no funny things to laugh about in the process?

If we feel we have already examined every type of record and still failed to locate the names of our ancestors, we tend to categorize them into any of the following:

(a)  They must have swum across into our country because we can't find them in any immigration record; or

(b)  They must have used ploys to avoid our searches; or

(c)  They must have been deposited here by aliens; or

(d)  They must have been abducted by aliens.

This may just sound as another joke to most of us but there is a grain of truth in it because it just might be that we were looking in the wrong location.

You worked for years to find the missing link in your family history. When you finally found it and told your family, your Uncle says, "Oh, I knew that!"

This underlines the importance of interviewing all living family members (I've tried interviewing the dead ones, but they don't always respond!).  Because  even if you had indeed interviewed your Uncle, did you ask the right questions?

Anyway, so much for that...It's time we tickle your funny bones here.
